F is for Fish...and Fathers' Day

We made fish burgers for Fathers' Day. I found this excellent recipe in the LCBO's Food and Drink mag that is delicious. Interesting however, that when I told my brother that we were making fish burgers, he was all like "Fish burgers...gross. WTF, why are you making fish burgers?" I guess he thought we were going to serve fishwiches from MacDonalds or something. After I explained how delicious and adult they would be, he gave the Mennonite defense - as in "well, Mennonites don't really eat fish so I guess I'm just surprised."

Anyway, that got me thinking about what Mennonites eat. Perogies. Sausage. Pickles. Potatoes. Plumaploutz. Rollkuchen. Pfeffernuesse. Other than that, I really couldn't say, but I could probably survive quite fine on those seven things for the rest of my life.
