Apparently, our neighbourhood plays host the Eastern Ontario Council of Crows Annual GM. Have you ever seen thousands of crows flying overhead - it will give you vertigo. I guess this happens every year - literally thousands of crows have descended on our trees and parks to, I don't know, probably scare the shit out of us. I've never seen anything like it. This is obviously only about 20 to 25 crows, but trust me - they are only a small representation an absolutely terrifying mass.
So, this family of wild turkeys has been lurking around the neighbourhood since the spring. Originially, there were 8 or 9 chicks and the mom. Only two of the babies survived but they are HUGE and it is awesome to see them casually hanging out in people's yards...and that they survived thanksgiving. They finally came around to our block and I grabbed my camera to share this with you all.
